Wait a Week, Recruiters Say The ideal amount of time to wait before following up on a resume you've sent: One week. So if you just sent out a resume, yuo might want to also send out a thank you later... if you get an interview, you might also want to send a thank you later as well. Also, keep track of who your sending your information to. Don't just apply for anybody and send your info anywhere. SOURCE: Yahoo! Hot Jobs First Send a Resume, Then Follow Up By Erin M. Hovanec ...

Support Modblog A Blog Report Interview Another blog on Modblog that makes my day (or week depending on my mood). You can go to Supports's blog and find the most interesting news on tech life. I think someone like Linux... hmmmm... Recent articles/blogs include stories on the EU Software Patents Law and Oracles Take Over Of PeopleSoft . Another nice find is the RSS feeds on the site. I would have never guessed that there is a news feed for virus outbreaks. You guys should a...

This newsletter will have the looks of a blog.... hmmmm... does this mean I should make this a blog or just a blog post?) but instead it will have some of the hottest debated topics on JoeUser (whether it be a blog or in the forums... but mostly it will be blogs). I thought of this while reading some of the things that go on here at JoeUser. There are so many interesting blogs and the forums are very active indeed. I think this is something worth developing. I think I might even do a ba...

This is a short introduction to what I believe is something that everyone should do or get into. Basically, joeKnowledge is a website that allows people to create working portfolios and also create a place to store links around the web for access anywhere. As you can read HERE , many businesses are quite into groupware (like People soft/Oracle). It helps with projects by creating a base of knowledge that the project shares. Knowledge base systems, amonst other types of systems, are g...

A sad day indeed. Stardock announced that Textbanners.net will stop in January 2005. I must say that I am disapointed that it did not work out. I had much hope for the program such that it would bring more revenue to WinCustomize (and therefor more servers). Lately, I have devised a way to use TextBanners.ner and Google Ads together and planned on having (or should I say conducting) an experiment with my current progect Search Advertising (current off-line until I can pay that bill UNEMPLOYMEN...

She came out of the closet and Homer wants to marry her!!!! Well, maybe not marry her, but maybe marry her to another her as in lesbian. I read this as I was browsing on Blog Explosion here: Sisters Talk I personally, didn;t se the show, but it must have been funny. Its funny, maybe its just me, but I somewhat thought Patty Bouvier was 'in the closet'... wasn't she the one who got married like 2 times??? Now I wonder who else will come to the conclusion that they are gay?

I have been thnking about a few ideas for a widget. On idea has to do with popular searches on a daily basis and depending on how much an item is searched, the DX object changes color... How about a fuzzy logic mood changer based on moon phases and time of day? Now that we have a caleneder/clock/notetaking device, how about it changing shape when an alert comes on? Gmail notification... ok, how about gmail notification and email access directly to the gmail interface using Googles ...

Its a forgone conclusion that Syria is on the new list, so lets just look for another canadate: So let's backtrack. Iraq, Iran and North Korea are the official members of the Axis of Evil. Iraq is history now. Syria has been deemed a junior member of the Axis as well. This much is a given. But now that there's a job opening in the world's most infamous club, who'll step up to the plate? Syria's doing an alright job but let's look further. Who sells missles to Syria in broad daylight, ...

So how has abortion worked for America? How many think women go from abortion to abortion without a care in the world? How is the adobtion system working? Do some families just say. "yeah, my welfare just increased by 300 dollars because I got a new kid" and decide not to abort? Is bringing a child into a bad family situation ok enough to abort? What about the host to this child? what rights does she have or did she give them up by becoming pregnant? What of those of rape and insest or t...

Hello. As I am pushing my way into making awebsite that helps others with self improvement, people networking, job search, and especially creating their own knowledge base with links to internet articles of interest, I have made this blog group where everyone can share their blog posts (if they want) on business, technology, science, current events, education and other sub-topics. This is something that i think was long and coming. Some of these lawsuits were so large that it did make me wonder if it was bad. As I currently plan to sew a business I worked for recently, I have to say suing a business is not easy at all... at least when it comes to labor. I don't really know about other types of lawsuits, but I would gather that it would be difficult for those of little means to find someone to defend them in a court or even put together a case in the first place. ...

OK, I read the story on BetaNews.com and the commenters so far are ripping the toolbar as redundant. Firstly I would like to say that I currently can't find a way to search for multiple words on ONE page at a time. The toobar does that. If you have a user page on yahoo, now you can assess it and its subpages from the toolbar, you can add favorites and save them on-line, check you email, add buttons that are yahoo specific... in other words. there are uses. instead of saying that FireF...

With Yahoo and A9 internet search adding the use of images to help you get more familiar with the area you want to go check out, why has not Google put the great CNN most often used program Keyhole ? With Keyhole the area site would be seen from above and give some help with the regular road map that is the usual shown. Plus, with Google owning Picasa and Hello AND Blogger, they could technically call on the blogspere to add images of trips and places on their service. Plus, how mu...
