Its been a long weekend for me. All these hardships I've been going through for the past 4 or so years made something that was not very much of a big deal make me feel pretty small. I was invited to be an admin for a website. For me, that is great news. I can put it on my resume and everything (its volunteer)!!! But a few days ago I was asked to fill out a non-discosure agreement. No biggie, where do I sign... well the problem is that I have to print it and then scan it after signing and send it as an email (I could mail it too).

Sounds simple right? Nope. I can't offord ink. No matter, cause I have enough I think... but I need to save for my legal battle... well, I can buy a new cartage in a week... that should have been no problem right? But I felt so lame. It should have been no problem to just sign and send this info, but it became this adventure. I just felt very small and not good enough. This wouldn't have been a problem back in 2001..

Well, anyway, I am trying to refocus myself and get the show on the road. I am so behind on my pet projects as well as getting ready for school (when ever I can afford to go back that is). So I have some announcment dates for stuff.

joeKnowledge: The alpha site will open on August 31, 2005 (about a week before I start school again hopefully). It will include all study work I have done so far in school, RSS feeds for many business and tech sites, use Indeed.com job search feeds and sell Blog Navigator (a must have). ALL alpha users get a home page for thier portfolio/resume and a invite to my Save This account. Eventually, everything will be either moved to joeKnowledge.com or I will ask Frogboy an T-Man how much it would cost to host it here on JoeUser.

esourcemagazine: My just for fun site will eventually be turned into a non-for profit helping artist promote themselves to each other and the world. I think it will be the first non-profit music group as well. It will come out in stages. June 4th is the alpha stage. July 4th is the Beta and August 4th is the grand opening. (Details will be posted on how I am going to do this on the JTB-Development blog for developers)

There are others but I am nnot sure I will be able to develop them this year. They'll be open, but not a full site like I want it to be. It will be out there just so that search engines get used to them existing.

Well, anyway that is the news on joeKnowledge. Other things to look forward to is the newsletter for Knowledge Net and Knowledge JobNet that will basically cover what is going on within joeKnowledge.

I feel your pain. I've got to get out of my own slump and soon.

Can you open it in an image editing program, sign it using the pen/brush tool, then email that?

How about printing it out at a library? That should be less than a quarter.

So, when you open the joeKnowledge alpha site, will you be closing these blogs?

thanks for the help. I wish a read it before now.
My computer scanner (Windows 98 only) desided to work and I have sent it on its way.

As far as closing the blogs, I am not sure yet... I need to talk to T-Man and Frogboy first (and Adam too, the maker of blog navigator). The big reason why I wanted it on this site was because of Stardock's 2 products DesktopX (very important as part of my stategy) and Blog Navigator. Plus there is a biult in community of people I already know.

Well, anyway, its just an idea of mine to show that just having a resume isn't enough; you need connections, you need to show what you can do, and you nee to be up-to-date. Creatig a knnowledge base for yourself and a working portfolio is the future.
