Seriously... what is so bad about Wal-Mart? Why do people think that a job should always pay, no matter what it is, a 'living wage'?

Granted that many 'entry level' jobs are really just dead end jobs with no chance of advancement or pay increase, but they are low paying jobs for a reason.

As far as employee treatment, I am not sure if Wal-Mart is different than any other major chain of service/product businesses. Is McDonalds a bad place to work? What about Starbucks? K-Mart?

Sears? JB...

It doesn't get any better than this. With all the hub-bub on off shoring and how its taking away from America jobs, here we have a project that is being taken place for an unknown American company about off shoring.... using offshore employees to do the 'dirty work'.

I personally think if most Americans knew that off shoring is the reason why their cars are so cheap, city services don't eat up more tax dollars, store bought goods are low, and so on... things you think would have nothing to do...

Are women just not aggressive enough? Does it start at school and teachers not picking female students? Here is a quote from the Wokplace article:

The women in the study opted out of a math tournament more often than the men did, despite the fact that many of the women performed the problems better or equally well. By declining the chance to compete, the women also turned down a shot at higher pay.

Most men, even those who performed poorly, chose to compete.

CBS seemed to have learned that after a reporter cursed out some annouying purposely put in place spectators by the Opie and Anthony radio show (yes, the same people who dared New yorkers to have sex in a church)

CBS fired the reporter, but people from all over the city wrote letters acking for his return.

Here is a quote:

Mr. Chi'en, acting human, lost his cool. After finishing his report, he turned to his harassers and yelled something on the order of, "What is your problem, man?" Tha...

Here is a quote:

The cities that topped our list have all been regarded as "Renaissance" or "revitalized" cities, perhaps as a result of the influx of large corporations and federal defense spending. Chart-topper New London, CT is the new research and development headquarters of pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, as well as home to a US Naval and Coast Guard base (slated to be closed).

Huntsville, AL, which landed second on the list of cities with the best "Salary Value", has seen a substantial ...

I am hopeing that one day people will be able to do this with Knowledge net. Until then, there are plenty of places to search for a specific company to try to get into. If I wasn't in my current situation, I would try to spend most of my job search time looking at companies I want to work in. Then again, the company I am in now is a Fortune 100 company with a very large internal hiring scheme. I might not be doing that bad afterall, but it sure feel like it.

I got the cuts and briuses to prov...

Women do what when employed???

Working women are spending about an hour more doing housework and taking care of family members each day than working men do, according to a new report released by the Department of Labor. At the same time, men are putting in more hours at work.

The recently released "American Time Use Survey", based on U.S. Census Bureau interviews with 21,000 people on their activities during one 24-hour period last year, is the government's first comprehensive study reveal...

If you or someone you know is a victim of work harrassment, take a look at the link below.

As a victim myself, and as someone apparelty fired for it, you should know your rights. There are things you can AND can not go to court for if it goes to that level. Also keep in mind that "I'll sue" is not always an option. You have to try to work out the situation with your employer and then take the case to relevent govermental parties. If that does not solve the situation, then make court your fina...
